MEF muse BIO
Canadian musician & songwriter

MEF muse (Matt E. Forand) is a Canadian musician and songwriter. Born in Quebec's Eastern Townships, he grew up on a dairy farm. He received an acoustic guitar from his parents at the age of 10 and learned his first chords by going to a local rock band's music rehearsal.
His main influencers are Jimmy Page for acoustic guitar and Jimi Hendrix for electric guitar.
In the latest year of the 1990's, the blues rock power trio Matt & the Special Blend was taking shape, the formation will bring him to tour clubs and play festivals all around the province from 1999 to 2008. In 2008, he joined the acclaimed Elvis tribute Elvis Fever on the pink paisley Telecaster, playing Theaters, Casinos, Festivals in Canada and over sears. Spring 2018 is where he decided to devote himself entirely to the production of his own songs (The Clock 2019) as well as original instrumental music.
Although he excels in many styles, the first album of MEF muse plunges us into his contemporary folk universe. His main themes are peace, love and spiritual awakening. We often compare his voice to Leonard Cohen.
