MEF muse (Matt E. Forand) is a Canadian musician and songwriter. Born in Quebec's Eastern Townships, he grew up on a dairy farm. He received an acoustic guitar from his parents at the age of 10 and learned his first chords by going to a local rock band's music rehearsal.

His main influences are Jimmy Page for acoustic guitar and Jimi Hendrix for electric guitar.
